| How Much to Pay Zakat on Gold? |
Question:
I have 300 grams of gold jewellery, I want to ask how much zakat in Canadian dollars to pay on this gold?
Answer:
Praise be to Allah.
You should check with your jeweler once every lunar year the first year begins when you acquired any Zakatable property about the sale price of the gold jewelry and pay Zakah at the rate of 2.5% every lunar year (354 days).
