| Dhuhr and 'Asr Prayers together |
Question:
My question is if we miss Dhuhr prayer and it is almost 'Asr time, can we do Dhuhr (4 rakat farad) first and then 'Asr (4 rakat farad) in the Asr time prayer?
Answer:
Praise be to Allah.
If you miss dhuhr or any other prayer, then you should do it first before performing the next prayer as long as you can be reasonably certain that by doing so you don't miss the latter as well.
However, if you arrive at the Masjid, and the congregation for `asr prayer is in progress, then you should join the imam for `asr, and then make up dhuhr, afterwards.
