I know that its forbidden to pray while your'e drunk, but does that also mean that if your high you can't pray? High on marijuana. Not chemicals.
Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.
It is strictly Haram to take any kind of drugs or narcotics because they are harmful and malignant.
Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {…he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibat [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), …}[7:157].
The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Every intoxicant is Khamr (wine), and every Khamr is Haram". [Reported by Imam Muslim] "Whatever intoxicates in large amounts is Haram in any amount". [Ahmad]
Marijuana is an intoxicant that is consumed with cigarettes and other ways of smoking. It's rule is the same as any other intoxicant like alcohol. The Prophet (PBUH) said: Anything that (intoxicates), causes drunkenness is prohibited. [Reported by Imam al-Bukhari ]
We conclude from the above that Marijuana is one of the Kabayir (major sins), and that would itself answer if you can perform your prayers on such conditions or not. There are conditions to be met when you enter a prayer among which to be fully conscious and fully attending to the rituals by your mind, heart and body.
May Allaah guide us to his right path and shower us with His Mercy.
