Licia Corbella has based her virulent article on the upcoming Muslim conference on details she found on the internet, apparently hate blogs or forums. For example, she takes the Muslim Council of Calgary (MCC) to task for third party content that may have been linked to or displayed on their website years ago.
Let us apply the same standards to Licia Corbella: She has been described on the internet as a "typical Christian hatemonger" and "an extremist thug who is trying to spearhead the persecution of Muslims in North America". Given her unashamed bigotry (advocating racial profiling, for instance) and her relentlessness in demonizing Muslims, these comments look all the more credible.
Licia Corbella`s article is written with a single objective which is clearly to vilify the Muslim community. As harmless and innocent the topics of the Conference maybe, she is furious that they are not `multicultural` enough - as if the conference organizers are not allowed by law to have any other theme!
The point of this letter is not to educate Licia Corbella - it is, indeed, a daunting task to placate a serious bigot. However, I welcome the readers to attend the conference and let them judge it for themselves.
